Habitat For Humanity of Marion County is a volunteer-driven organization. We welcome people from all walks of life to join us as we build simple, decent, affordable houses in partnership with God and families in need. Though the vast majority have no construction experience or building skills, volunteers are involved in most phases of construction.
We also have volunteer opportunities at our ReStore locations! ReStores are home improvement stores and donation centers that sell new and gently used furniture, appliances, home accessories, building materials and more to the public at a fraction of the retail price.
All Habitat For Humanity of Marion County donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law and will be acknowledged with a letter you may use for those purposes. Gifts made on-line are safe, thanks to our secure-server capability and will be put to good use by Habitat.
We take seriously our responsibility to contributors, to those counting on our help to be wise stewards of funds entrusted to us.
We raise all our funds locally and receive no funding from Habitat for Humanity International. We support the efforts of Habitat for Humanity International by tithing 10% of all donations, unless the donation is restricted to be used Marion County.
Our community organization partners help give families in need the tools necessary to break the cycle of poverty housing. When your organization partners with us, you will receive a number of reciprocal benefits such as recognition and tax deductions.
Additionally, our partners often tell us that the partnership provides an overall increase in their group’s morale.
