What is Habitat for Humanity ReStore?
Habitat ReStores are nonprofit home improvement stores and donation centers. The items they sell are available to the public and similar to what you may see in other home good stores, such as a brand-new box of tile you’ve been needing for your bathroom project or a vintage treasure you won’t find anywhere else. However, Habitat ReStores are more than just resell stores.
The purpose of Habitat ReStores is to contribute to the work of Habitat for Humanity. When you support the Habitat for Humanity of Marion County ReStore by shopping, donating or volunteering, you are not only supporting your local community, you’re also helping the mission to provide decent shelter to everyone around the world.
What donations does Habitat ReStore accept?
Habitat ReStores accept household items or building materials such as Household items-Furniture-Appliances-TV’s-Lighting-Building Materials-Doors & Windows Plumbing Supplies-Hand & Power Tools-Flooring. ReStore donations come from all kinds of sources — from your neighbor after a finished home project to a large restaurant chain with old furniture after remodeling.
What does a Habitat for Humanity ReStore sell?
Habitat ReStores tend to resemble a home improvement store — a very unique home improvement store. At our ReStore’s you’ll find items that fit into the following categories: building materials, appliances and furniture. The items you’ll find will range from brand new to gently used, and there will likely be a wide range of brands and styles…. Of course, that’s not all you’ll find. Because the inventory of each ReStore depends on donations, you never know exactly what you’ll find.

Both Marion County ReStores do offer pickup services for items. You’ll want to get in touch with the ReStore at 352-401-0075 to schedule a pickup, and to see if they currently are accepting the item or items you have available.
